3B Cart

The 3B Cart – the new baggage wagon - is an integrated and vital part of an automated baggage handling system, developed in cooperation with Crisplant - called Rampmate.

Using a simple gravity feed arrangement; a mini loader automatically fills the 3B Cart. Between 40 and 45 items of baggage are stored on specially designed sloping shelves, each equipped with rollers.

When loading, the handler opens each shelf hatch in turn, the baggage flows effortlessly down to the waiting belt loader and then into the aircraft.

When unloading the Aircraft, 3B Cart is rotated through 180 degrees and the process is repeated in reverse.

Automatic Make-up Unit - AMU

Automatic Make-up Unit from Crisplant - AMU. Baggage from Check-in arrives at the AMU, that sorts and loads the baggage on to the 3B Carts.

From the point at which the passenger hands over their baggage, no lifting is necessary.

Automatic Discharge System - ADS

The baggage is unloaded from the 3B Carts onto the ADS, which forwards the baggage to the passengers waiting in the terminal. The ADS was developed by Crisplant.

3B mobi

Using 3B mobi it is possible for one handler to move and position 3B Carts (and ULDs) in smaller spaces within the sorting hall.

RampConnector

Designed to work with either the RampSnake conveyor system, or a traditional belt loader, RampConnector forms the link between the 3B Cart and the belt loader. It eliminates manual lifting and the associated work related injuries.
